Construction of a toilet

In line with the well-known WASH concept - water, sanitation, hygiene, we also deal with this topic. The "latrine toilet" in the center of Mwandogo is unfortunately full now and may not be used anymore. The risk of spreading infections is too great. If used, the villagers face fines from the district government. For this reason, a new toilet must be built promptly, otherwise they will not be allowed to cook Uji porridge in the middle of the village, will not be able to hold village meetings or meet there to make makuti. The villagers support the construction by using their labor and by saving a certain amount of money. In addition, every family from the village brings lumber (Kassuirina). But we still need financial support to finance this toilet.

However, for the future we would like to start and plan and built new forms of ecological toilets. Now it is a matter of creating concepts for the construction of compost or separating toilets or establishing contacts with competent people. We are very grateful for ideas or any kind help for this.
